It's fun to be outside...

...when the sun is out too! *lol*

The world is slowly turning green(er) around us.
What I mean is the vegetation in our area...
Look for yourself!
If you look closely you can see what I mean!

We enjoy clear skies these days which makes it possible to see the ocean as you can see on the last photo.
I took those photos yesterday when Cleo and I climbed up the hill in "our" little nature reserve.
It's great to be out and see natures daily changes and the progress of spring.

I bought a new Camera the other day!
It wasn't planned but happened anyways! :))
It's Canons newest model -

the EOS 550D aka Rebel T2i.

I am in heaven, let me tell you.

I was so happy with my 400D/XTi, it takes such wonderful pictures, but when I saw the first few shots I took with the new camera I was just amazed.
It's so much sharper and somewhat lighter too.
I tried it with different lenses attached and I was not disappointed. Even with the kit lens I got some amazing shots. (The kit lens I got with the 400D really sucks and I keep it in the drawer)

AND another cool thing is that it has a HD video function! I have no idea if I will use it that often, since I am not much of a video person, but I guess it's going to be a nice addition and might come in handy from time to time.

Well, here are a couple more shots of yesterday's walk with Cleo! :)

It's past lunch time and when I look out the window I see that the sun is gone. I mean it's not gone, but the clouds are "moving in" on us again.
We did spend some time outside this morning to clean up the yard.
Old leaves are still covering parts of the lawn, especially in the corners and under the big birches.
We did get quite a bit done but there is more to do.
It's nice to have a big garden, but it's also a lot of work so I better get going again...

Oh yes, I almost forgot!
Aaron had his second vaccination yesterday, he did very good at the vet.
He's very curious about everything and I think he had a great trip too -
he didn't get car sick. :))
Just a couple more days and then he'll be allowed to go "public". *lol*

After we got back home he took a nice little nap and then he and Cleo played in the garden.

Yeehah!

Nice shot's ha?!
I really wonder why I haven't made any money with my photography, yet...
I'll have to think about that!
Maybe I'll come up with something... *lol*

But first I'll put my old camera out for sale. It would be a pity to have it laying around since I won't be using it anymore, that's for sure!
:)

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Your camera takes outstanding shots! I have a Canon Power Shot but it has no extra lenses. The weather shots you were looking at on my Journal were taken with my little Sony Cyber Shot. I don't take my good camera with me to the barn. It looks like your dogs get along very well, and what a beautiful countryside.

    Thanks for the visit.

  3. Thanks for visiting my blog and following - I was curious and checked yours out. Just been looking at today's photos with your new camera - it does take awesome shots (but then, a lot of cameras do - it's the photographer behind the lens that takes the shot!). Nice job on these - clear, great composition and colour. I'll look some more.

  4. ...you live in an incredibly beautiful area. I love the farms...the trees...and the stone walls. Have you any idea how old they are? They look like they've been there for a very long time...

  5. Thank you all for your comments guys! ♥

    @ Kelly
...I love those stone walls, but I have no idea on how long they have been there. It must be hundreds of years, at least some of them. I read somewhere that the first rock fences on earth have been built as early as 4000BC...
The swedidsh ones (swedish rock fences are also called "Gärdesgård") are not that old of course but I guess that the oldest ones have been around since medieval times.
When you look at the different walls today you can see that many of them have been built by hand a very long time ago, but there are also some who are more "modern". You can see that on the shape of the rocks that there was machinery involved as well.
I guess I will make a special stone wall series some day and in the mean time I will try to get smarter about their history as well.

  6. Great pictures. It is always a boost in the spring when the sun shines. It warms the soul of man and beast.
