2 more nights

You could say that we are in the middle of the 5th! move in 7! years.
We will get the keys to the new house tomorrow afternoon or evening.
Today we cleaned, shopped, packed, loaded stuff onto the trailer and in the middle of all that we even found some time to relax.
Ingrids big sister is here to help and since we don't see more then about 3-4 times a year it is also important to take time to sit down and chat!
The good thing is that we are well prepared and organized and that will make the next couple of days feel like a breeze! :)

The animals are doing very well in all of this.
Our youngsters, Mika and Aaron never moved before, so they don't really know what this is all about, they just think it's fun.
Cleo and Missy have moved before, they seem to know what boxes and suitcases mean.
But they are not stressed or anything, they just keep a very close eye on everything that's going on right now.

Monday we'll have more help and by monday evening this house should be empty.
Monday evening we'll be sitting in our new home and drink coffee, or maybe even a cold beer on the porch if the weather is nice.
They predict very nice temperatures and lots of sunshine from tuesday forward.
It might be the beginning of a WONDERFUL summer!

Soon good bye... just 2 more nights! ♥

Aaron's first day in kindergarden!

We have a very happy, satisfied and tired dog!
Kindergarden was great, very nice dog people and a couple of new puppy friends!
The first day was more of an introduction and Aaron got to wait in the car the first hour.
After all that grown-up talk it was time for Aaron to meet the other "kids" at the parking lot, and that was fun!

Then we went onto the training field, it was time for the first lesson - SIT.

Because of his age (he is the oldest in class) Aaron has the advantage that he already knows commands like sit and down  -
BUT that doesn't mean that we don't have to work with him.
It's easy to follow mommies wishes when we are at home in the garden or out on the trail in the woods....
but EVERYTHING is different in kindergarden.
So much to look at and so many new playmates...
but at the field playing is forbidden!
So the first big lesson for him was not the "sit", no, it was learning to keep focus on mommy despite all the fun dogs and people!
He had some very good moments and we are very proud of our boy.
The first training was only about 15 minutes where the instructors were demonstrating how to get a dog to sit, with the help of a doggie biscuit of course.
Then they gave a couple of tips and examples on how and in which situations it would be best to train the sit at home.
We left the club with a very good feeling.
Aaron was complaining a lot on the way home because he was already VERY hungry.
But he didn't get sick and that was also great. :)
First priority at home was eating dinner, then he went outside to do some business, came back in just to crawl onto the sofa where he is sleeping now, very deeply and happy.

Next tuesday we'll already be living in our new home and the drive to kindergarden (the dog school) will only take about 5 minutes.
We have exiting times ahead of us...

We have new "neighbors"!
The owners of the farm moved their horses back "home" for a while, until the place gets sold I guess.
There is plenty of grass on the pastures since we don't have horses anymore and it's nice to see that it gets eaten! :)
Those two mares are sisters, they really do look alike a lot.

AND since yesterday there are even more

Darling home alone and the flu

This weekend is a long holiday weekend in countries like Austria and the Netherlands. Not so in Sweden.
Here it is just a regular weekend.
But MIDSOMMAR isn't far away... Sweden celebrates the arrival of summer in about a month and everybody starts to look forward to this festivity many weeks or even months earlier.

Of course summer hasn't arrived yet, but we did have very nice 26 ̊C yesterday and that feels like summer! :))

The week was half good, half bad.

We got a message from our future landlords that we'll get the keys to the house latest on the 31. We hoped to be able to move a couple of days earlier but there's nothing we can do, that's how it's gonna be.
Luckily we have very nice "current" landlords who really don't mind if we do need one more day IF we fail to move everything on monday. They are and always have been very kind, uncomplicated and friendly. After all, they let us stay one extra month even though our contract ended end of April. But we are very nice people too, so... ;-)

All is fine with Aaron, and Cleo got her summer haircut. You should have seen Aaron's face when he saw her, it was hilarious! It almost seemed if he didn't recognize her at first, of course after her bath she smelled different and the short hair made her look different.
He was very attracted to her, it almost seemed that he had a crush on her!
But now everything is back to normal and they have their daily little fights... or let's call it arguments.

My driving training goes well and monday morning I'll have my theory exam.
So for all of you who have time... please cross your fingers!

The bad part of the week was - or is - that Mika got really sick.
Even though he doesn't go out so much he "managed" to catch a virus called calici, a form of cat flu.
Little over a week ago he had a fight with the first strange cat he ever met, and that very cat must have been carrying the virus. I mean what are the chances of that happening???

At first we were dead scared for him, because with a virus infection you never really know what happens. Even though most cats overcome the virus it's the secondary bacterial infections that can complicate the progress of the disease.
Mika does not show any of those possible complications so far! Of course he feels terrible and because of the ulcers in his mouth and on his nose he has a very hard time eating anything, but so far so good.
The vet checked him yesterday and was very positive, he said that Mika should be feeling better in two or three days.
It's VERY hard to watch this little guy going through so much pain, even though he gets medication for it. Or against it...
However, my heart was hurting, but what is so nice and positive about all this is that our little family is so tight. You can see how the animals are feeling with and helping each other and my HASI was the bastion of calm - as usual. It's so nice to have each others support in times like that!

And through all of this trouble AARON had his first experiences of being "home alone" this week.
He had to stay home a couple of times cause he gets still car sick from time to time.
Not even CLEO was there to support him... but maybe that was better anyways! She's mostly teaching him things we don't want him to learn and so we thought it would be a good idea to bring her along.

We just left him in the living room, with his toys and a bone...
Everything was still on his place when we got home.
He is such a darling!!! :))

Have a great weekend everyone!

Time flies!
Aaron came to live with us 2 months ago.
He's grown so much already, he's learned some good stuff and behaves himself quite well.
It's the time now where he changes his teeth from milk to permanent dentition.
His jawbones and gums are hurting him and ...

Sunshine and new neighbors!

I am happy to report that we've had a sunny afternoon! Phu! :))

We also got new neighbors across the street - lots of new baby sheep with their mommies!

I have to admit that the sheep photos are already one or two weeks old,
the pastures are much greener by now! ;-)

Sunshine! Yeah!

The weather...

It's still quite cold here! Spring is really taking a lot of time this year.
Our friend Carola has been on the island Tjörn this weekend, that is north of Gothenburg - on the west coast... she said they had FANTASTIC WEATHER. 20 ̊C !!! AND SUNSHINE!!!

I mean, we did have some sunshine here too, I just can't remember if it was friday or saturday...

We took the dogs for a walk in the woods which was nice.
Aaron loves to sniff on anything that there is on the way, we even "hide" dog biscuits on rocks and other places so he can use his fantastic sniffing skills to

Appendix to SUM SUM...

Cleo and Aaron had a great week too!
And so did Missy and Mika!

Missy outside, a rare occasion!

Aaron and Cleo playing with Hasi! Cleo is even DANCING! *lol*

By the way...
SOMEONE has to WORK while we all have fun, right?!

:)) ♥

That is what I look at (into) every day now. Books! Books! Books!
I could have my professional bus drivers license in about ± 6 weeks...
IF I pass the 3 exams... my first in only 3 weeks!
Next week I'll start with the driving lessons. I don't know how many I'll need, that depends on how fast I am able to
